The tennis teams from Thunder Basin and Campbell County were in Cody and Powell this past weekend for the 4A North regionals.

The boys and girls teams from Thunder Basin both came away with third-place finishes, each scoring 39 points. The Bolts will have three No. 1 seeds in the state tournament.

The Camel boys finished fifth, scoring 30 points, while the girls took eighth with eight points.

The state tournament will take place in Gillette this Thursday through Saturday.

The Bolts’ No. 1 girls singles player, Ellie Garcia , finished in third place. After winning her opening match 6-0, 6-2, she lost to Sheridan’s Ella Bilyeau in three sets.
