BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Regardless of driving yourself or using a rideshare service, it’ll soon cost you more to get to and from the airport.

Anytime Tori Grant and her family travel, they like to fly out of BTR.

“Baton Rouge is a really easy airport to get in and out of,” said Grant. “Sometimes I pull up just 15 minutes before my flight and go right in there.”

Recently, though, she’s only been flying solo.

“We just can’t afford to buy four plane tickets, four seats, let alone the parking it would cost to park here for the week,” admitted Grant.

Now, it’ll cost her even more to park her car here. The airport is looking to raise the prices of short-term and economy parking to be more in line with similar-sized airports across the country.
