A man has tragically died after a collision between a car and a bike in north Manchester on Tuesday morning (September 23).
The cyclist, a man aged in his 60s, died at the scene of the crash on Victoria Avenue East in Blackley after emergency services had been called at around 9.35am.
It followed reports that the driver of a Toyota Yaris turning right into Colmore Drive then collided with a cyclist travelling in the opposite direction.
The driver of the car - a female in her 40s – stopped at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. She remains in custody for questioning.
