MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Mobile runoff election has come to a close with Spiro Cheriogotis being named the mayoral-elect.

The race was close, with only a couple of thousand votes different.

Cheriogotis previously received endorsements from current Mobile Mayor Sandy Stimpson.

Cheriogotis was involved in the runoff with Barbara Drummond, who in the municipal election received the majority vote.
