Carla Carpinteyro scored the go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter off an assist by Melanie Castillo in Lakewood’s 1-0 victory over Nottingham in Hamilton.

Lakewood controlled the field, outshooting Nottingham 13-2. Roy Mora recorded the shutout for Lakewood.

Lakewood (1-6) secured its first win of the season and will host Jackson Township on Monday, while Nottingham (1-7) will host Lawrence on Monday.
