LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A Lexington teen was sentenced Thursday for his role in the shooting of a city police officer.
Chris Vaquera was sentenced to a total of 20 years.

The shooting happened in February 2022.
In April of this year, Vaquera pleaded guilty to attempted murder of a police officer, wanton endangerment, and other charges.
Vaquera was sentenced to 15 years for the 2022 case. He was also sentenced to five years for another incident that happened in 2020, for a total of 20 years.
Police say the 2022 shooting happened while Vaquera was out on bond for robbery and assault charges.
