FARGO — With hundreds of comments from area residents, the Fargo City Commission continues to weigh a new location for a service center that serves the city’s homeless population.

Fargo City Commissioners heard updates on the search for a new site for the Downtown Engagement Center during a meeting Monday, Sept. 29. City staff referenced the center, which serves people experiencing homelessness by a new name: the Resource and Recovery Center.

The center works to connect individuals in need with assistance for housing, mental health and crisis situations.
