SEDONA, AZ (AZFamily) — Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow announced his resignation on Tuesday afternoon, effective at the end of the day.

“When I came into office, I felt a deep obligation to be proactive and to give voice to the concerns of our residents,” Jablow said in a news release. “I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I leave this office confident in Sedona’s future.”

Mayor Jablow, who has served as Sedona’s mayor since 2022, previously served 31 years in law enforcement, eight years on the Sedona City Council, three years on the Planning and Zoning Commission and four years on the Sedona Oak Creek Fire District Board.
