SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- October starts Wednesday and Meteorologist Scot Mundt tells us what to expect for weather.

Eastern KELOLAND reached record-high temperatures Monday, with highs in the upper 80s and lower 90s. The thicker clouds today kept the 90-degree heat out of eastern KELOLAND, but we still had highs around 10 degrees above their averages.

While we'll keep an eye out for record highs Thursday and Friday, we'll soon return to seasonal air for early next week.

But a stronger push of cooler air may arrive for the second weekend of the month. If that holds true, it could bring in a frost or freeze to parts of KELOLAND.
