BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Louisiana Key Academy (LKA) invites the community to “Get On The Bus" to empower dyslexic students and support local education.
The fundraiser will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the school’s campus, 5015 Auto Plex Drive in Baton Rouge.
The academy’s mission for the event is to raise funds for a new school bus. This will help ensure students have safe and reliable transportation to access the specialized education LKA offers. A news release said transportation is the last hurdle in giving life-changing chances to children with dyslexia.
Hall of Fame Coach Kim Mulkey will be the special guest for the evening. She'll talk about education and its impact on the community, according to a news release. Guests can enjoy game-day food
