Edinburgh and the Lothians face six days of "non-stop snow", according to weather maps, with charts showing blotches of the white stuff hitting the area on several days throughout the course of October.
The tenth month of the year brings with it the risk of snowfall, according to WX Charts, which uses the Met Desk data and GFS model to predict what lies ahead, says Birmingham Live .
Maps and charts have turned purple starting from October 11 as the snowy conditions remain until October 17. The areas most at risk include Edinburgh, Fort William, Glasgow, Aberdeen, and the Cairgnorns National Park.
It means counties at risk include Lothian, Invernessshire, Aberdeenshire, Moray and Highland, as well as Angus and Perth and Kinross.
