MONROE — A Frenchtown Township man wanted for sending child pornography to an undercover recipient in Texas was arrested during the execution of a search warrant Friday morning, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Detectives with the county’s Violent Internet Predator & Exploitation Response task force received information about the 58-year-old suspect from the Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable’s Office in Texas, the statement from Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough said.

Based on their evidence, the Texas authorities obtained a search warrant for the man’s arrest and extradition to Texas, after which VIPER detectives also obtained a warrant.
