OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The person who was shot at an Omaha park over the weekend died on Monday.

In an update sent Monday afternoon, Omaha Police say 27-year-old Dequrae Murrel died in the hospital earlier in the day.

OPD says officers responded to Levi Carter Park and 30th and Pinkney streets for separate reports of shootings around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers found Murrel with a life-threatening injury at 30th and Pinkney. She was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, where she later died.
