CLEVELAND — According to NFL Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Cleveland Browns are trading QB Joe Flacco to the division rival Cincinnati Bengals.
After reports of the trade surfaced, NFL insider Adam Schefter confirmed the details of the trade :
Browns trade: QB Joe Flacco, future 6th round pick
Bengals trade: Future 5th round pick
The trade comes just a week after the Browns benched Flacco amid a quickly spiraling season for rookie Dillon Gabriel.
The trade between the Browns and Bengals is the first between the two clubs.
Flacco will look to stabilize a quarterback position in Cincinnati that has seen ineffective play from backup Jake Browning, who has averaged only 189.3 passing yards per game and has thrown 8 interceptions.
