CAMP SPRINGS, Md. (DC News Now) -- One person is in critical condition after a fire broke out at a home in Camp Springs on Tuesday.

The Prince George's County Fire and EMS Department (PGFD) said the house fire broke out at around 4:45 p.m. in the 7200 block of Shockley Ct.

When crews arrived, they saw smoke showing from the two-story home.

One person was trapped inside and needed to be rescued.

The fire was extinguished, and one person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Four people were displaced.
