NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A 45-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly left the scene of a crash that left two people seriously injured, according to police.

Francisco Vasquez-Bravo was charged Monday with two counts of hit and run with great bodily injury.

North Charleston officers arrested him following a collision at the intersection of Dorchester Road and Gwinnett Street around 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3.

Police learned a vehicle had struck a motorcycle and then fled. Both motorcycle passengers were seriously injured and taken to a nearby hospital.

Witness description and evidence at the scene helped police identify and locate the suspect’s vehicle.

Investigators found the SUV on Nelson Street with extensive damage to the passenger side and flat tires, according to NCPD.
