MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – A 19-year-old Mount Pleasant man was arrested on charges connected to the sexual exploitation of minors.

The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office alleges that Phenix Mashburn has multiple files of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators received a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which led them to Mashburn, according to the Attorney General’s office.

He is charged with 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Mashburn was booked into the Charleston County Detention Center on Oct. 2.

Masburn’s bond was set at $250,000; however, he has not yet been released as of Wednesday morning.
