COLUMBIA, S.C. — A cold front moving across South Carolina today will bring scattered showers and a few thunderstorms before much cooler and drier air settles in for the end of the week.

After several warm and humid days, residents across the state can expect a noticeable change in the weather pattern, with breezy northeast winds and comfortable fall-like conditions returning through the weekend.

Tuesday was a warm day with a few stray showers. Highs were in the lower and middle 80s. Temperatures today will be similar, but the rain chances will be higher.
