DENVER (KDVR) — Commerce City police earlier this week arrested a woman after she allegedly drove under the influence with two young children in her vehicle.

The police department shared on Facebook a screenshot of body-worn camera footage dated for Tuesday that shows the woman being arrested. Police said officers found the woman passed out behind the steering wheel with the vehicle idling at 104th Avenue and U.S. 85.

"Don't get so drunk that you pass out behind the wheel in the middle of the roadway-- especially not when you have two babies in your backseat," police said.

The woman allegedly failed field sobriety tests and was arrested. That's when officers discovered two babies in the vehicle, but there was a sober relative who could take custody of them.
