All Interstate 70 eastbound and westbound lanes at the interchange of I-70, Interstate 64 and U.S. 61 will close overnight on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15, Missouri Department of Transportation officials announced Wednesday.

The closures will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on both nights. Westbound lanes will be closed on Oct. 14 and eastbound lanes will be closed the following night. Crews are setting bridge girders that will require large cranes and swinging materials over the interstate.

All work is weather permitting.

The work is part of the Improve I -70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project , which will provide a third lane on the highway in each direction on I-70. The project will also make improvements to the I-64/I-70 interchange. MoDOT aims to have the project done by Dec. 1, 2028, according t
