Disney+ subscribers in Canada will soon pay more for ad-free streaming plans as the service rolls out new Hulu branding as of today.
Starting in November, Disney+ will increase its monthly prices by up to $3 . The standard ad-free plan will rise from $12.99 to $15.99, while the premium 4K plan will climb from $15.99 to $16.99 per month. The ad-supported plan will remain at $8.99, as confirmed by Disney. Gee, streaming isn’t getting any cheaper folks.
The price change comes as Disney+ replaces its Star section in Canada with Hulu , aligning its platform with the U.S. version. The rebrand took effect today, October 8, with popular series like Only Murders in the Building, The Kardashians, and Futurama now appearing under the Hulu label.
