WASHINGTON — After much stress and uncertainty, the Army Ten-Miler is on — with modifications.

Though the government shutdown threatened the race, officials announced that runners could go ahead and gear up for Sunday's in-person event.

The U.S. Army Military District of Washington (MDW) said Thursday the race will mostly not be impacted by the shutdown despite an email sent out to runners earlier this week warning it might get canceled.

One major change is the race's packet pick-up location. In-person runners need to go to the St. James Flagship in Springfield, Virginia, at some point on Friday or Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. to pick up their packets.
