The Mashpee Affordable Housing Trust and Select Board proposed to submit a Community Preservation Committee (CPC) application for the May 2026 Town Meeting before the deadline on Tuesday, November 11.

“Just to try to position the Affordable Housing Trust to be a little bit more helpful, I think currently there is about $750,000 in funds that the Affordable Housing Trust has," Michael Sparks, chairman of the Affordable Housing Committee and member of the trust, said during a joint meeting with the Select Board on Monday.

Sparks asked the board "if there was an appetite for looking at increasing that," through a request from Town Meeting, of "recurring funds in the neighborhood of $500,000 a year, perhaps for three years.”
