The town of Gilbert has partnered with Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona to host Arizona’s first-ever monitored donation containers.

The initiative aims to encourage residents to donate gently used items and promote recycling and waste reduction to help protect the environment.

Gilbert is the first municipality in the state to collaborate with Goodwill to host two solar-powered, virtually monitored donation containers.

Provided and maintained at no cost to the town, the bins feature 24/7 surveillance and donor safety lighting, designed to streamline the donation process while reducing landfill waste.

Residents are encouraged to donate items such as:

Home decor and housewares;

Clothing;

Shoes;

Electronics;

Towels;

Toys.
