DURHAM, N.C. (WNCN) -- Officials confirmed a person was arrested in a vandalism case that damaged the Durham County Courthouse early Saturday morning.

The incident was reported before 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the Durham County Courthouse at 510 S Dillard St.

One report indicated a person threw rocks at the front of the courthouse.

Photos from the scene later Saturday morning showed broken, shattered glass on the ground outside the doors, along with indentations in the glass panes from an object hitting the doors.

Two windows at the bottom of the doors were boarded up.

The Durham County Sheriff's Office released a brief statement just after 5 p.m. Saturday.
