The leader of Warwickshire County Council has hit back at claims he had 'taken no action' during the Jaguar Land Rover cyber attack, branding the accusations 'misleading and unfair'.

Coun George Finch, who also chairs the North Warwickshire and Bedworth branch of Reform UK, faced criticism from Matt Western, Labour MP for Warwick and Leamington, who accused him of engaging in 'student politics'.

The MP highlighted Coun Finch's social media posts, claiming he had made no reference to the crisis and instead focused on "flags" - mentioned seven times - " Tories defecting to Reform UK", on four occasions, and "calling sixth forms 'woke'", twice.
