BUCKEYE, Ariz. — Several people have been rescued from flooding as heavy rainfall has created flooding and dangerous conditions in multiple locations in the Valley on Sunday morning.

In Buckeye, first responders said an adult was "stranded approximately 100 feet from the water’s edge in swift-moving water," according to the Buckeye Fire Department.

The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office brought in its helicopter to rescue the trapped individual.

A short time after the first rescue, also in Buckeye, crews responded to a trapped vehicle.

Several people were in the vehicle, according to the fire department.

"The vehicle was located roughly 30 feet from the water’s edge in fast-moving current," the fire department said.
