GLOBE, Ariz. — The City of Globe is experiencing active flooding on Oct. 12 after a surge in tropical activity, including Tropical Storm Pricsilla with Tropical Storm Raymond just behind it.

The new flooding follows devastating flooding from just a few weeks ago.

People are being urged to stay out all low-lying areas and avoid travel through Downtown Globe. Residents also should not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

The flooding has caused the closure of US 60 near the city.

Residents are urged to shelter in place if safe, or move to higher ground if you are in a flood-prone area.

Please follow all official emergency alerts and updates from Gila County Emergency Management and the City of Globe.
