GULFPORT, Miss. (WLOX) - As Cruisin’ The Coast wraps up, the spotlight turns to the people who keep this massive event running.
From directing traffic to stamping cards and helping with registration, it takes an army of dedicated people to keep things cruising smoothly. Nearly 750 volunteers in bright yellow shirts give their time and energy to make the weeklong event a success.
Some work all week, while others step in for a day or two. But every single one of them shares a love for people and for the spirit of Cruisin’.
Kelli Decoronado, one of the volunteers, says the people are what keep her coming back.
“Volunteering is so important, giving back to your community in any way you can,” Decoronado said. “The car clubs are amazing at helping out. Without volunteers, this would never ha
