PHOENIX — This October is officially the fourth-wettest October on record in Phoenix.
Since midnight on Oct. 12, Sky Harbor recorded nearly 2 inches of rain, blowing the previous daily record set in 1957 of a little under a third of an inch out of the water.
So far this month, Phoenix has recorded just over three inches of rain, which makes it the fourth wettest October on record, according to 12News Meteorologist Chris Dunn. The top three, according to the National Weather Service , are:
October 2000, which saw 3.17 inches of rain
October 1972, which saw 4.4 inches of rain
October 2018, which saw 5.35 inches of rain
