Amazon Fire Stick users have been warned after the company has made a major update to its operating system in a bid to crack down on illegal streaming.
The firm has announced its latest stick - the Fire TV Stick 4K Select - will use its own processing technology called Vega, instead of running on Android software like it did previously.
This system means it cannot run sideloaded apps, which is the way some load Fire Sticks with applications to stream illegal content.
However, at the moment it does not seem as if the change will yet impact those with earlier versions of the stick - but if a future change is to occur it is unknown.
