BEAUMONT, Texas — One person was injured early Saturday after police say a gun accidentally discharged inside a vehicle in the 6200 block of Phelan Blvd.

Officers working an off-duty assignment in the area heard a gunshot at approximately 12:53 a.m. on Oct. 11 and immediately responded, finding the vehicle in the parking lot, according to a news release from police.

Little Woodrows is located in the 6200 block of Phelan Blvd.

Investigators determined that multiple people were inside the vehicle when one occupant accidentally fired a gun, striking another person in the vehicle, according to the release.

Beaumont EMS took the victim to a local hospital by ambulance for treatment. The victim's condition was not disclosed.
