RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A suspect has pleaded guilty in connection to a shooting on Interstate 64 in 2024 that put one man in the hospital.

According to the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, 28-year-old Jeremy Anthony Hill plead guilty to aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony on Oct. 2.

Hill's charges are in connection to an I-64 West shooting that happened in Richmond near the Staples Mill exit on Nov. 24 at 11:38 p.m., when an individual in one vehicle fired multiple rounds at the other.

The victim had several gunshot wounds, and was later taken to VCU Medical Center in critical condition at the initial time of reporting. According to state police, those injuries have been downgraded to non-life-threating.
