Hamilton County is exploring a potential land use swap involving McDonald Farm and Enterprise South.

The proposal would preserve 1,300 at McDonald Farm, while designating 500 acres of land at Enterprise South for industrial development.

The proposal would impact the Atlas Bike Trail which makes up about six of the combined 97 miles of trails in the park.

“We don't want to lose 5.8, but the idea is we still have hundreds of acres that we want to expand the network on already. Leaning in to that conversation we might lose this in the future but not today. This is still an active trial that someone can utilize,” said Matt Folz, Director of Hamilton County Parks and Recreation.
