BRANFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Owners sought after leaving a dog near a Walmart in Branford in the middle of a coastal storm on Sunday night.

The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter said the 10-week-old puppy was found in the rain.

If anyone has any information about the owner, you are asked to contact the Branford Police Department at 203-481-4241.

The animal shelter is closed today for the holiday, but the animal control officer will be called if needed.

No further details were released.
