LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The South Loop Trail at Mt. Charleston will be closed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, as two large trees are removed.

Friends of Nevada Wilderness will be working to clear the trail and eliminate a dangerous situation. The fallen trees block the trail, but they are also located above another section of trail, posing a risk if they roll downhill.

The trees are past the Echo Overlook.

"Due to the dangerous nature of the work, we ask that everyone stay off the trail during this time," a social post on the Go Mt. Charleston Facebook page said.
