Lobit Park in League City will close until spring 2026, starting Oct. 13, for what officials called major improvements.

The closure comes after League City City Council’s decision to award a $2.35 million contract to Houston-based B&D Contractor for the upgrades at its Sept. 23 meeting .

Phase I

Addition of six pickleball courts

Baseball field upgrades

Pedestrian bridge repairs

Drainage improvements

New security lighting installation

Phase II

1,800-square-foot picnic pavilion

Fitness course

Multipurpose athletic fields

Hiking trail

Additional restrooms

Additional parking
