A Chattanooga woman has been charged with misusing the 911 system after she anonymously texted police about another woman with an outstanding warrant walking down South Willow Street.

According to an affidavit obtained by Local 3 News, 47-year-old Lakisha Baker sent multiple anonymous text messages to 911 dispatchers, claiming 55-year-old Pamela Timmons was walking with a group of people in the area. Officers with the Chattanooga Police Department were initially unable to locate Timmons, but after Baker provided further details, they eventually found her.

Timmons had an active warrant for criminal trespassing. She told officers she and Baker had recently been in an argument which, she says, motivated Baker’s report to 911.
