The U.S. Coast Guard announced Monday that its military service members will receive their mid-month paycheck this week.
The paycheck, due on Oct. 15, will be processed and deposited in accounts between Oct. 15-17, according to a press release from the Coast Guard.
On Saturday, President Donald Trump said he had directed the Department of Defense to use “all available funds” to ensure troops are paid. Trump had promised the move during a visit to Naval Station Norfolk on Oct. 5.
However, because the Coast Guard is under the Department of Homeland Security, some were unsure whether that included its members.
