LUBBOCK, Texas -- The Texas Tech defense has been dominating opponents this season and they have also been helping a greater cause. For the 24th year, the Texas Tech Athletics program has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House Charities for the S.A.C.K the Quarterback Campaign.
Development Coordinator for RMHC Carley Patton said the works 'sack' appears like an acronym because it stands for "Support And Comfort Kids."
Coach Joey McGuire said they use this campaign as motivation. He says he makes sure to tell his players that they should always have an "attitude of gratitude." People can pledge or donate anywhere from $5-$50. Right now, the total number of pledges is equal to $600.
