TYLER, Texas — Both the East Texas Jewish and Muslim communities are reflecting on a historic moment peace deal resulting in hostages being freed in the Middle East.

The U.S. government, including Trump’s administration, played a key role in the new peace efforts, political science professor at LeTourneau University John Barrett said.
