JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A longtime Northside business owner is facing a heartbreaking setback, after a stolen car crashed into his store and set it on fire Sunday morning.
It was 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning when Fawzy Khalil got the call. His store, Furniture Mattress Depot, was on fire.
“I came over here, I find a car inside my store,” said Khalil, “that's really scary when you see a car inside the store with the fire department and the police and all this mess.”
According to Khalil, police said a stolen car crashed into the front of his store. Surveillance video from another store captured the crash. Three people hop out of the car and run off after the crash occurred.
