Nacogdoches city staff presented a “floodplain management ordinance’ to the city’s planning and zoning commission at Monday’s night meeting. Staff focused in on low lying land adjacent to bodies of water that can overflow during heavy rain. The city flood maps were last revised in 2010 by FEMA, according to city engineer Case Opperman.
