Governor of Maine, Janet Mills, has officially launched her campaign for U.S. Senate , taking aim at longtime incumbent Susan Collins and President Donald Trump with a campaign video posted Tuesday morning.

Mills has served as Maine's governor since 2019, winning a second term in 2022. She is the first woman governor of Maine. She has previously as a local district attorney and later Attorney General for the state of Maine, becoming the first woman in state history to hold either position. Mills still resides in her native Farmington.
