SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- A former Sioux Falls middle school teacher is headed to federal prison for child pornography.
28-year-old Justin Preuschl used social media to communicate with girls in their early teens and convinced them to send him nude pictures. He had multiple victims, including at least one of his own students.
In July, prosecutors dismissed dozens of charges in exchange for his guilty plea. On Tuesday, Chief Judge Roberto Lange sentenced Preuschl to more than 24 years behind bars.
Preuschl taught at Whittier Middle School. Prior to that, he worked as a substitute teacher in both Sioux Falls and Brandon.
KELOLAND'S Sydney Hoier was in the courtroom and will have a full report on KELOLAND News Tuesday night.
