Officials working at the Department for Work and Pensions have confirmed four groups of people will not receive the winter fuel payment, despite meeting the key age criteria.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has reinstated the handout for nine million pensioners this winter, reports Express.co.uk.
The winter fuel payment gives individuals between £200 and £300 in financial assistance depending on their circumstances.

To be eligible, they have to be of a certain age and earn £35,000 or less in taxable income.
