EVERGREEN, Colo. (KKTV) - Colorado’s violence intervention and prevention program Safe2Tell says it received more reports in September than nearly any other month in its 21-year history.
Safe2Tell received 3,846 reports during that month, according to the latest report from the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. A significant number of those reports followed in the wake of the Sept. 10 school shooting in Evergreen .
The Colorado Attorney General’s Office said the uptick in reporting is a good thing, as it is exactly what the resource was designed to do: enable students, parents and other members of the community to make an anonymous report if they are concerned about their safety or the safety of others.
