CLYDE, Ohio — The largest washing machine manufacturing plant in the world is about to get even bigger.

Whirlpool Corp. plans to invest $300 million in the company’s manufacturing facilities in Clyde and Marion, Ohio. The investment is expected to create between 400 and 600 new jobs in those cities, positioning Whirlpool for increased production of its next generation of washers and dryers.
