A car crashed into a pole near eastbound I-94 and Ecorse Road on Oct. 15 and was found submerged in water around 3:40 a.m.

A 25-year-old woman from Newport was an occupant of the vehicle and said her boyfriend was still in the car when she got out of the car.

Troopers have not located the man yet and contacted the Downriver Mutual Aid Dive Team to search the water and recover the car.

The Downriver Mutual Aid Dive Team is expected to search water alongside eastbound Interstate 94 and Ecorse after a car was submersed in water after a crash.

At 3:40 a.m., Michigan State Police troopers arrived to the scene of a traffic crash and found a car that struck a pole and was submerged in water, according to MSP Second District on X .
