SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - Oktoberfest is a time for pretzels, beer, and fall fun, but one of these holiday events in Springfield, on October 15, is celebrating something more.
The Springfield Center for Dyslexia and Learning is hosting the event to raise awareness for the often-overlooked disability of dyslexia.
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month and the center’s 10th anniversary. It was founded on October 15, a date chosen because one in five people has dyslexia.
